The Early Morning Table

There is a narrow interval in the morning before the sunrise.

It’s what they call a highly suggestable state of the brain, much like the seconds before sleep. It is the time when we don’t feel any daily obligations connected to our earthly identity, and no demands have yet announced their presence. The mind blends for a moment, with a quieter consciousness.

β€œAnd believe it or not, the act of reading during this state takes on a different quality than it does at any other hour. Because attention steadies and thought moves without obstruction.”

You notice ideas surfacing more plainly and effortlessly, as resistance and friction is low. Even the intrusive thoughts that are always there to pollute your mind from within start vanishing.

These moments are very brief, but if you jump into their essence, thinking occurs in its most natural state.

There’s something about those quiet mornings before sunrise β€” a blanket over my shoulders, a knitting magazine, and a warm drink β€” that somehow fell out of reach when life was hectic. Now, as I leave my prologue and step into a new chapter, I can’t wait to meet the sun with a smile and wish the moon good night, enjoying the little things again πŸ–€πŸŒ·πŸ–Š
